Cake Decorator

A busy bakery and foodservice operation is seeking an experienced Cake Decorator with commissary experience to create high-quality, custom cakes and desserts. This role is hands-on and perfect for someone skilled in professional cake artistry who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Layer cakes, prepare icing, and decorate cakes to professional standards.

  • Assemble mousse and custom layer cakes per customer requests.

  • Work with fondant, chocolate, and various cake decorations, including piping and modeling.

  • Temper chocolate and create chocolate decorations as needed.

  • Safely operate kitchen equipment and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Collaborate effectively with team members to meet production demands.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a commissary or commercial kitchen.

  • Skilled in cake decoration techniques: piping, icing, fondant modeling, glazing.

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and allergen handling.

  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs, and work in hot and cold environments.

  • Effective communication skills in English (Spanish a plus).
